Tipp FM Showcases Lorrha and Dorrha Community Voices
Tipp FM’s Alison Hyland visited Lorrha Hall on Monday, March 31, to interview members of the Lorrha and Dorrha community. The discussions highlighted the vibrant local spirit and the challenges and successes of various groups.

County Councillor Michael O’Meara spoke about the difficulties facing rural communities, while Nancy White shared insights into her work with the Lorrha Active Retirement group. Ena Moran discussed the Rathcabbin Ladies Club, and Aidan McIntyre celebrated the achievements of local GAA and Camogie clubs. Carol Kennedy from Tearaways shared insights into her business.
James Heenan introduced Lorrha’s rich history, and Roland Dyre spoke about the self-catering Lorrha Cottages. Marguerite Walsh reflected on 40 years of Rathcabbin Players, and Barbara Tierney highlighted the successes and challenges of the Lorrha Development Association over the past four decades.
Patrick Cahalan shared the exciting extension of the SCEAL society shop, while Mary Coen shared her experiences working there. The interviews were complemented by musical performances from Darran Bourke and Noreen Ryan.
