Treasured Memories is a powerful video series capturing the personal stories and rich histories of older citizens from the parish of Lorrha and Dorrha, as well as those closely connected to it. This latest screening featured interviews with Maureen Kenny, Seamus J. King, and the late Phillip McIntyre, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Their stories offered a touching insight into life in the parish over the decades, preserving valuable memories for future generations.
The evening was filled with emotion, laughter, and reflection as each story was shared on screen. Attendees were moved by the sincerity and spirit of the storytellers, whose experiences are now forever documented as part of the parish’s cultural heritage.
After the screening, the gathering continued with friendly conversation over a cup of tea and a selection of delicious home-baked treats. It was a true celebration of community spirit and connection.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who helped organise this special event and to all those who have contributed to the Treasured Memories project over the past few years. Through their dedication, the voices of the parish’s elders continue to inspire and educate generations to come.
