Honouring a Rich Legacy

As part of the celebrations, members of the drama group gathered in the supper room during the intermission on the final night to officially cut the anniversary cake. It was a touching moment as three cherished members were given the honour of leading the ceremony: the first chairperson of Rathcabbin Players, Michael Hoctor, alongside the group’s oldest living member, the beloved Sheila Dillon, aged 92, and Mary Molloy.

Four Decades of Theatrical Brilliance

Since its inception in 1985, the Rathcabbin Players have brought numerous beloved productions to the stage. From early one-act plays such as Dear Departed and Cure for the Nerves to classics like Philadelphia Here I Come and The Field, the group has consistently entertained and delighted audiences. In more recent years, productions such as Perfect Wedding (2023) and Don’t Tell the Wife (2024) have continued this tradition of excellence.

A Heartfelt Thank You
