Mass will be celebrated on Friday 30th: at 9.30am for the Feast of the Holy Family. 1.00pm Mass (Lorrha)
Sympathy.
Sympathy is extended to the O’Meara family Birr, and the relatives of Patrick (Podge) O’Meara, formerly from Rathcabbin. After funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church Birr on Saturday 24th burial took place in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr. May he rest in peace.
Sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Tom Corrigan England and formally Lorrha who died recently. His ashes will be buried in Lorrha Cemetery on Saturday January 7th. May he rest in peace.
Sympathy is extended to the Ryan family Derrinsallow on the death of their mother Patricia which occurred on Christmas Day. After funeral Mass in Our Lady Queen of Ireland Church Rathcabbin on Wednesday Dec 28th burial took place in St. Ruadhan’s Abbey Cemetery, Lorrha. May she rest in peace.

Rathcabbin Players forthcoming production “Thy Will Be Done” will be staged in Rathcabbin Hall from Thursday January 19th to 22nd and for two nights only the following week-end the 28th and 29th. This comedy was written by Michael Carey and will be produced by Marian Frawley from Portumna. Rathcabbin Players would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Christmas and look forward to meeting you all in January.

Winter De-Clutter.
When cleaning out your wardrobe to make room for the winter collection, please remember Lorrha Development/Tidy Towns who continue to collect unwanted clothes throughout the year. Items of clothing must be clean and dry and in good condition please and we can supply bags if you want. We can also collect to make it easy for you, just call (086) 8647166, (086) 8493595 or (087) 2601413 with your name and details. Please note we cannot accept Duvets, bedding, household linen, pillows, cushions, carpets, rugs and maths including bath toilet and shower math’s, soiled or wet clothing. All money raised from all fundraising ventures is used for the ongoing work around Lorrha Village which helps to keep two adults employed. Many thanks for your continued support.
GAA News
Adjourned AGM: is fixed for Wednesday 4th January in the Clubhouse at 8pm. Nominations are now being accepted for positions of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Co Board Delegate. Nominations can be brought to the meeting on the night. All members are asked to attend.
Auction: will take place on Sunday 29th January at 2.00pm
Lotto: Our jackpot is €3,300 with a Match 3 pot of €100. You can play our lotto online at www.locallotto.ie.
Social Dancing: on Friday 30th December with Glen Flynn. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
